We are excited to announce the Spartans Development Academy (SDA) as our new, year-round skill development program!
​
The SDA model will continue to offer athletes multiple development pathways while ensuring we have a clear focus each term, within a holistic player development framework across the year.
​
We have identified 4 key skill development areas:

Ball Handling & Footwork

Each term will incorporate one of these areas as it’s primary focus, while still ensuring players are exposed to all aspects of the game. This will provide a great balance between long-term, structured development and the opportunity for athletes to work on their specific areas of need under the guidance of our coaches.
Alongside the SDA program we will also have our Talent ID and Future Spartans program for the relevant age group, with players who are identified through our ID camp offered a spot in the Future Spartans program. Players who are unsuccessful are encouraged to still participate in the SDA program.
And finally, our Sunday Skills sessions will continue to run as an alternative option for players who are looking for general skill development all year round. These are specifically catered to all skill levels with a focus on beginners and club level players.
