The Volunteer of the Year Award is given to a Southern Districts member that is passionate and hard-working. 

In 2025, the winner is one of those rare individuals left who is always the first to step forward, giving his time and expertise with generosity and enthusiasm. Whether it’s supporting activities at Club level or lending a hand across the wide range of programs delivered by the Association, he can always be counted on to make a positive contribution.  What sets this person apart is not just the time he gives, but the energy, passion, and skills he brings to everything he does. This year, he went above and beyond by offering his talents as an accomplished DJ, transforming our NBL1 game nights into an exciting and engaging experience for players, families, and fans alike. His music created an incredible environment that elevated the atmosphere in the stadium and added another layer of enjoyment to the game-day experience.  His commitment, adaptability, and willingness to step in wherever he is needed exemplify the true spirit of volunteering. His efforts have made a lasting impact across our community, and we are proud to honour him as Volunteer of the Year.
